  • It's going to be a big holiday weekend in the City of Louisville and the Governor's Cup at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium isn't the only game in town. From festivals to concerts to what's considered the Superbowl of BMX racing - The National Bicycle League Grand National 2010 at E. P. "Tom" Sawyer Park. It's an event that's really made a name for itself in Louisville, bringing millions of dollars into the community.

  • Anchorage Police seeking flat screen TV thief

  • Several home burglaries have hit the usually quiet community of Anchorage in the last few weeks and it came to a head when a police officer caught the suspected burglar in the act. In all the thefts, high tech equipment was stolen, but every case has had a common thread of one target item - large flat screen television sets.




  • Boil advisory lifted for Oldham County

  • The Kentucky Division of Water has lifted a boil advisory for Oldham County. Tests now show the water is safe to drink after a mechanical failure had reduced the amount of chlorine used to treat it.

  • Man arrested for fake kidnapping note

  • Police have made an arrest in the investigation of a note alleging a kidnapping found at a Bullitt County rest area.

  • JCPS postpones action on middle and high school student assignment plan

  • There is still no decision if Jefferson County Public Schools will move forward with its new student assignment plan for middle and high school students. The school board was considering waiting a year after big transportation problems with the new elementary assignment plan the first week of school. But a last minute recommendation by Superintendent Dr. Sheldon Berman only heated up the debate.


  • Businesses say one man passed $12,000 in bad checks

  • Local businesses are out more than $12,000 and they say it's the work of one man. They want to find him and what's more, they want other businesses to take notice, so it doesn't happen to them.
