Ryan S. Conard, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric hospitalist with Norton Children’s Inpatient Care, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine/pediatrics. As a pediatric hospitalist, Dr. Conard cares for hospitalized children and coordinates specialized care when needed. In addition to patient care, he educates resident physicians in training and actively contributes to hospital safety committees. He currently serves as one of two Richard S. Wolf Pediatric Chief Residents at the UofL School of Medicine, dedicating his time to coordinating, scheduling and teaching pediatric and internal medicine/pediatrics residents. Dr. Conard values intimate involvement with his patients, finding fulfillment in helping them achieve their health goals. Open-mindedness is a cornerstone of his approach, fostering patient-physician relationships built on mutual respect and understanding. He has earned certification in the care of LGBTQ+ patients. He plans to assist in the transition of care into adulthood for children with chronic hormone conditions, with a particular focus on gender-diverse individuals.
